“Art that Captures the Heartland”

Growing up in North Dakota, and the time spent at my Grandparents farm north of Golden Valley, ND,  gave me a unique appreciation for rural life, wildlife and the beauty of the mid-west landscape. I fell in love with art and drawing at an early age, and after picking up a paint brush, new instantly oil painting would become a life long ambition. I am a self taught artist. I drew a lot of inspiration from the artists who’s artwork I loved and aspired to achieve in my artwork as well. I wanted to be like Terry Redlin, Terry Issac, and fellow North Dakota artist Gary Miller.

My cartoons and illustrations have been published in regional and national magazines through out the years, and my oil paintings have won various awards in a number of state art shows.  I have been commissioned to do numerous paintings and hunting dog portraits. I was contracted through a local gallery in Bismarck, ND in 2013, were my work was on constant display and sold various prints, until it sadly shut it’s doors for business in 2016. I am now focusing on selling my work on-line and at regional art fairs.

I am currently living with my wife Damaris in Bismarck and work as a graphic artist.
